Scout Programs
We offer expertly guided, hands-on scout programs
Our scout programs are based on badge requirements and offered at a variety of sites and preserves. Programs offer hands-on learning incorporating science, history, art and more.
All scout badges are public prescheduled programs.

Available Scout Programs
Self-Guided Backpacks
Our badge backpacks are available for two-week loan periods and cover some or all of the badge requirements. These backpacks help guide leaders through badges with self-guided activities, resource books and supplies.

Brownies Hiker badge backpacks can be taken anywhere and are available year-round.

Webelos Into the Woods badge backpacks are based at Ryerson Conservation Area and available May through mid-October.

Visit the Dunn Museum and take a self-guided tour to learn about local history. Check for changing special exhibitions and programs that could potentially fit your badges.

Learn about other public programs offered including, campfires and monthly, free USG educational programs.

Educator Loan Boxes come complete with hands-on group learning activities, educational items and reference materials.

Junior Ranger
The Junior Ranger program was created by Girl Scout Cadettes in Lake Zurich, Troop 1897, and includes a workbook and award patch to those that finish the challenge.
