Museum Volunteers

cultural-resourcesThe Dunn Museum offers a unique look into Lake County’s past through diverse exhibits, programs and special events throughout the county, including the Lake County History Symposium. Volunteers at the Dunn Museum can interact with the public by helping with front desk services and education programming, or by working with staff behind-the-scenes to help maintain the Collections and Archives.

The Adlai E. Stevenson II Historic Home in Mettawa is a designated Illinois Historic Site and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. From April to October, the service building, and its exhibits about Stevenson's life and career, are open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Become a docent at the Stevenson Home to help with guided tours that are offered throughout the year.
