The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Removal of dead and dying trees along the Des Plaines River Corridor, as well as other Forest Preserve Sites. There are 7 areas of work associated with this Contract. Bid price is for the removal of the tree(s) and associated materials from District property. Stumps shall be left no more than 4 inches in height.
The Tree Clearing Projects at multiple Preserves within the Des Plaines River Corridor (Work Sites) are a mixture of flatwoods, prairie, and savanna communities. Extreme care will be necessary to implement this project without causing damage to existing native vegetation and without impacting wildlife.

The goal of this project is to mitigate hazardous trees. Work shall include mechanical cutting and hand cutting (chain saws, hand saws), brush disposal via chip and haul. Most of the work site is located in upland areas; however, some areas are near or within wetlands that could become wet during winter months when temperatures are above freezing.
