The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
The Contractor shall provide fuel and delivery to locations designated by the District after an order is placed. All Bidders must provide quality fuel and demonstrate the capacity to provide, or have provided fuel and have sufficient fuel inventories to service Lake County Forest Preserves requirements. Normal delivery shall be for a full load (Operations & Public Safety location in Lindenhurst only, Group A), metered at all other locations listed.
Orders will be placed during the morning hours Monday through Friday. Deliveries shall be made the following business day. Routine/Normal deliveries at all locations will only be accepted between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. CST. An order identified as an “Emergency Order” must be filled within 2 hours of order placement regardless of the time of day. When placing an emergency order, the District will identify the order as an emergency order.
Small quantity metered/wagon delivery is defined as a delivery under 1,000 gallons to a dedicated tank throughout the District. To facilitate delivery to remote locations; the delivery truck must have a minimum of 200 feet of hose available. Small quantity metered deliveries are required throughout the year, with heavier usages between the months of April through November. All delivery tickets must be signed by an authorized District employee. After hour deliveries will be accepted on emergency deliveries only with proper and confirmed notification and coordination with District personnel.
