The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
The scope of the work of this project shall include all labor and equipment to complete control of small stems of invasive trees and shrubs at multiple Forest Preserves throughout Lake County. Work shall include the control of small, invasive trees and shrubs through a variety of herbicide techniques including hand cutting and application of herbicide to the stump, basal bark treatments or wick herbicide application depending on which technique is most appropriate for the site. Stacking remaining woody debris into brush piles and ignition will be included in some locations and seasonal windows. The District anticipates that the Contractor shall dedicate 16 experienced crew members to complete control tasks. The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and tools including vehicles and gas for travel. The Contractor shall only bill for hours spent on site implementing small, invasive woody stem control. All other costs are incidental to hourly rates, including but not limited to travel, maintenance of equipment, use of an ATV and time to mix chemicals before traveling to the project site. The Contractor shall provide all chemicals and adjuvants necessary for proper chemical mixes. Water is generally not available on site.
