Stephen A. Neaman
Director Finance
As Director, Steve Neaman manages all accounting and treasury functions, debt and assets management, and provision of financial planning and accountability. He also oversees the Purchasing Division.
Neaman's department ensures that the Lake County Forest Preserves has sufficient resources to carry out its mission and that sound fiscal policies and practices are in place in order to maintain the “AAA” bond rating and to secure financing for capital projects. He and his team are responsible for developing and administering a high-quality annual operating budget and Capital Improvement Plan. An audit and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report are also conducted and prepared annually.
The Purchasing Division procures supplies, services and equipment in the most economical manner while providing the highest level of purchasing services and complying with all state and federal regulations.
